Bidirectional DC/DC Converter for Energy Storage and Renewables

The Emotron DCU is a DC/DC converter that integrates different DC sources — battery energy storage, solar and other renewables, and hybrid drive trains — so that each can be used to best effect.

Its modular design offers bidirectional power flow and accommodates a wide range of energy storage solutions. Accurate voltage adjustment with high-side or low-side voltage control suits renewable systems, and a voltage measurement feedback unit is included. Air or liquid cooling, a wide choice of communication modules, wireless access over Bluetooth and Wi-Fi, and DNV marine approval are available.

The DCU is delivered in an IP54 cabinet with DC fuses, filters and pre-charging.
