Slip Ring Induction Motors (HV) - Industrial motor specifications and performance details

Slip Ring Induction Motors (HV)

HV Slip Ring Motors up to 10 MW for High Starting Torque

CG Power HV slip ring induction motors are built for loads that need high starting torque with low starting current — ball and tube mills, crushers, kiln drives, large fans with high inertia, hoists and conveyors. They are started with external resistance in the rotor circuit, which limits the inrush on the supply while delivering full torque from standstill.

The range extends up to 10 MW at 380 V to 13.2 kV, with shaft heights of 355 to 1000 mm in horizontal (IMB3) or vertical (IMV1) mounting. Fabricated steel frames give mechanical strength, Class F insulation with VPI gives electrical reliability, and enclosures include CACA, CACW, TETV and SPDP with cooling types IC611/616/666, IC81/86, IC01 and IC511.

The motors conform to IEC 60034-1 and IS 325. For a low-voltage machine, see our LV slip ring motors.
