These motors handle the high starting torque, dust loading, and continuous-duty operation typical of grinding applications.

Construction features include high-grade cast-iron or aluminium frames, double-shielded bearings, special-grade grease for high-temperature operation, and reinforced shafts to handle shock loads from grinding action.
