Roller Table Motors - Industrial motor specifications and performance details

Roller Table Motors

Heavy-Duty Motors for Steel Rolling Mills

Roller Table Motors are heavy-duty squirrel-cage induction motors purpose-built to drive the conveyor rollers that move red-hot billets, slabs, and ingots through steel rolling mills. Engineered for high ambient temperatures, dust, vibration, and frequent reversing duty, these motors are the workhorses of the steel industry.

Bombay Engineering Syndicate supplies Crompton roller table motors used in integrated steel plants, re-rolling mills, and forging units. Construction features extra-rigid frames, oversized shafts with sealed bearing housings, high-class insulation (H or higher), and forced-cooling provisions to withstand mill-floor ambient temperatures of 50°C and above.

Mechanical features include reinforced shafts to withstand impact loads, double-sealed grease-packed bearings, drain plugs, and corrosion-resistant terminal boxes. Electrical design accommodates frequent starts, reversals, and plugging operations typical of rolling mill duty cycles. Available in ratings from 7.5 kW to 110 kW across NEMA and IEC frames.

BES has been the trusted Crompton distributor to Maharashtra and Gujarat re-rolling sectors since 1957. We stock common ratings and provide rapid replacement service to minimise mill downtime. Customised configurations available on request through our technical sales team.
