Overview & Buying Guide

Agricultural pumps built for Indian farm conditions — irrigation, borewell extraction, and water transfer for crops from paddy to horticulture. Bombay Engineering Syndicate's Crompton range covers centrifugal monoset pumps for canal and pond lifting plus heavy-duty agricultural submersibles, including MNRE-listed models eligible for PM-KUSUM solar subsidies.

Farm water needs vary enormously, and so does the right pump. For lifting from open sources — canals, ponds, shallow wells, and tanks — centrifugal monoset and openwell pumps move large volumes against modest head, ideal for flood and furrow irrigation. For deep groundwater, borewell submersibles push water up from 100, 200, or more feet to feed drip and sprinkler systems or fill overhead storage. Solar-powered pump sets, now widely subsidised, remove the diesel and grid-power burden for off-grid fields. Motors are built to tolerate voltage swings and continuous seasonal duty.

Choosing well means matching the pump to your water source and depth, the flow your acreage and crop demand, the total head to the field or tank, and the power available — single-phase, three-phase, or solar. Our engineers size to your borewell yield and land, and advise on subsidy-eligible solar models. Send your farm details for a free recommendation.
